About us

Before hitting the road in October 2022 our home was near Kaitaia, Far North, New Zealand, and our vision was to remain there forever. Then the madness ensued. The country that emerged from that period was almost unrecognizable.

So we were faced with a choice; remain in a country that had become obsessed with the agenda or see if there was another way to live/place to live. We could no longer see a future in NZ for Clive and Macy. It was not a simple decision; to stay would have been easier. Some people thought we were mad, but that’s OK. We are the architects and builders of our lives.

By way of a chance encounter with a friend who had connections in Guatemala, we decided to sell up and search for a better place. We reduced our possessions to 23 kilograms per backpack, sold our property, and excess belongings, and went searching. First stop Guatemala!

What’s Our Destination?

We’re searching for a community that aligns with our values and a country not obsessed with the latest socialist agenda.

We’re looking for a place to build our own house, grow healthy food, and be friends with our neighbors. We want our children to have options to travel, study, and experience the world.

We Are Homeschoolers and We Love off Grid Living!

Clive is a talented illustrator, and we take advantage of online tools and resources to develop his potential. Clive is obsessed with History; he’s also learning Latin, and Spanish of course.

Macy is our IT wizard and translator. She has an incredible capacity for language. We are often asking Macy ‘what did they say’? Macy is studying modern applied psychology, French & Spanish.

Brenda and Adam. We blog and have a Youtube channel. We are also looking for land to build some aircrete domes on and thinking about other business opportunities in Paraguay. Stay tuned!
